Company Statement of Safety and Health Commitment

The safety and health of our employees is of primary importance in the operation of our company.  It is the position of Hal Jones Contractor, therefore, to provide and maintain safe and healthful working conditions, and follow operating practices that will safeguard all employees which will result in safe working conditions and efficient operations  This requires cooperation in all safety and health matters, not only between supervisor and employee, but also between each employee and his fellow workers.  Only through such efforts can the best safety and health program be established and presented.

Our objective is ZERO accidents and injuries.  In progressing toward our targeted objective, Hal Jones Contractor will:

1. Provide mechanical and physical safeguard to the maximum extent possible.
2. Conduct a program to find and eliminate unsafe working conditions and practices.
3. Instruct employees in good safety practices.
4. Provide necessary personal protection equipment and instructions for it's use and care.
5. Investigate promptly and thoroughly every accident to determine it's cause and correct any detected problem.

We recognize the responsibilities for safety and health are shared.  As the employer, we find we are responsible for the leadership of the safety and health programs and for providing the safeguard required to ensure safe working conditions.  Our superintendents are responsible for developing the proper attitudes toward safety and health in themselves and in those they supervise, and for ensuring all operations are performed with the utmost regard for the safety and health of all personnel involved, including themselves.

In return, our employees are responsible for wholehearted, genuine cooperation with all aspects of the safety program, including compliance with all rules and regulations and for continuously practicing safety while performing their duties.
